KWMR 2007 was a great day for a race.
Thanks to the 30 or so volunteers who really made the race happen.

Thanks to those who may have wanted to race, but volunteered ALL day instead.

Some special thanks
As always thanks to my friend and GW member Tony Carter who drove all the way from the Iron Range area to assist in volunteering all day.
Thanks to our treas. Paul A for managing the money, and is still in process of balancing the dollars.
Thanks to Mary and Chris Burbank for registration assistance/coordinating.
Thanks to Paul M and Bruce for officiating.
To our VP, Dan Wheeler, for managing the set up/tear down and lunches.
Thanks to our Sec. Mark Kotz for arriving early. I am glad you did not have to make the drive into Cannon Falls for safety pins.
To Ted Free for his great coaching of the cat 4 team.
And to Colleen who came out to volunteer although she was not feeling well.

I am still in process of compiling the results which have been a challenge.
The biggest error was underestimating field sizes for numbers at registration.
Running out of numbers, for some categories, and then filling in numbers out of sequence
was not a smart move. It made for complications for the officials and for me. The officials
were very understanding and wonderful to work with.
I will certainly correct this error next year.

We had 320 entries. If we would have had the collegiate field it would have been a record day for us.
Results should be finished by the end of the day.

GW had some great results. Strong Dan S came in first in the Master 4/5 field which had about 60 entries.
His son, David, came in 2nd in the cat 5 field. Tim Smith and Martin Lacey had a top 10 finish, and Martin's daughter Alex placed
2nd in Cat 4.

Thanks again everyone.
Sherry
